Yummies: COOKIE MONSTERS!!

At dinner last night my amazing 3 year old son said... Lets have a cooking party... But you can only cook cookies at my party!

What more can you really say? I was sold!
Because cookies are one of the best things ever!

Well if you are a lucky duck and you live in Los Angeles, then you can just call up Bittersweet and get your homemade cookies hand-delivered to your door!

We have told you about them before.. But maybe you didn't hear us... Homemade cookies delivered to your door!

But in the immortal words of Cher, from the movie Clueless,
"Whenever a boy comes over, you should always have something baking!"

So, here are a few of our favorite recipes... They look good, smell good and taste like a million bucks!

I saw these little yummies while watching my girl Ina Garten on her show the Barefoot Contessa and my eyes almost popped out of my head...

Coconut Madeleines? Are you kidding me? You are already talking about a cookie so decadent and moist it is bordering on being a small cake... And then you are adding the delicious flavor of the islands?

How about something a little darker? If you like molasses then you are sure to be a fan of these Chocolate Molasses Cookies from Martha Stewart!

Can't you just see yourself curled up with a good book, a nice cup of tea and a couple of these sweeties on a chilly fall night?
To make that dream a reality, see the recipe here.

Have you ever been to Argentina? No.... Well ave you ever been to Empanadas Place ? No? Well if you live here in Los Angeles you have no excuse for yourself!
Not only are they the masters of the empanada, they have Alfajores!!

These amazingly delicious and sinful shortbread and caramel cookies are an Argentine treat.

And thanks to this amazing recipe and beautiful pictures showcasing the end results I found over at The Bites Site, you can try yours tonight. Trust me you will not be sorry!

But sometimes you just feel like a light almost airy cookie.. Something that fixes your sweet tooth but doesn't carry all the guilt..

How about these lacey little lovelies? From Martha herself try these Orange lace cookies
Pretty and girly you just feel cute eating them!

What's that you say? You don't mind a little extra time at the gym this week? Well then my loves, feast your eyes on these little guys.. From the queen of the sexy kitchen comes a sexy and exotic cookie.

But could we expect anything less from the lovely Padma Lakshmi?
Full of flavor and uniqueness... (Word?)
These Cardamom Cashew Cookies are made for lovers.

Maybe you just wanna tone it down and keep it simple, well then my friends, here is your cookie.

Simple, sweet, you can dress them up by dipping them in chocolate or you could sandwich them over strawberry and whipped cream... Or you could even just have them plain with a nice glass of milk.

Whipped Shortbread cookies are a classic stand-by.. Memorize this recipe, learn it by heart and you are halfway to mom of the year!

Peanut butter... Oh Peanut butter, why do you tease us this way? You are delicious in a cookie, on a sandwich, mixed with chocolate... Peanut butter you are even delicious alone on a spoon!

Extra soft and chewy, not dry and flakey like so many Peanut Butter Cookies, this recipe is a winner for sure.

And now friends.. It is time for the king of all cookies... The heavy weight champion of the cookie world... The ones you will turn all Cookie Jarvis for!

(Cookie Jarvis, The Cookie Crook)

The Chocolate Chip Cookie!!! Now I have tasted the worlds best C.C.C and it was delicious... Sad to say though it was made by Miss T.W.H and she is keeping the secret recipe under lock and key!

So I had to do some internet searching for the worlds second best C.C.C recipe , and I think I found it!

Ladies and Gentleman... I present to you the world 2nd best Chocolate Chip Cookie

We hope that you enjoy your cookie parties and that you love some of these recipes so much they become a part of your cookie arsenal.
