Fashion Friday: Yummm Scallops...the fashion kind

We lurve us some scallops...

Nooo...not these....

Or even these....

These!!!!

Christopher Kane...YUM!

Scallops are so delicate and feminine with a vintage chic edge...

They can be soft and sweet in a snarky way...

(Chloe '09. They have been doin the scallops for a couple of seasons now...thank the lord cuz we can't get enough)

Or dressed up to be hip and "oh yeah...i just threw these on with a tee and blazer" ..."oh you like? haha thanks! I just wear what's on the floor...you know."

Or paired with dark tights and OTK boots for a ...I'm too chic to be called "chic" and sooo perfectly imperfect it will make you try to copy it again and again for the perfect balance of cool girl meets cute boy.

Ugghhhh scallops are soooo cutie bean and ooh lala chic....look at how our FBF Miss Meester fuckin rocks these Chloe duds...

Sooo cute right? Take those shorts and throw on a fantastic tank with yellow flats or ankle boots and you my dear are waaay TCFS (too cool for school). Just don't let us find you! And if we do be careful...we will steal you...

Unfortunately, we couldn't find those ridiculously amazing high waisted shorts that LM was wearing...but we did find See by Chloe's silky yummy pj style scalloped trim shorts here.

These beauties are beggin to be paired with a white sheer tee, denim jacket and hot ass wedges or converse.

Remember those uber cute yet totally casual Chloe SE (Scalloped Edge) shorts that our obsession and Sienna were wearing? Well now you can get your pretty paws on some.

OK maybe not Chloe, but Urban has stitched up a pair of simple pull ons that if worn right are a pretty good copy of the OG.

*Buyers note...size down and make sure you have a rad vintage belt or a drapey top over the stupid elastic waistband of these*

Like snowflakes and people and ummmmm cookies..no 2 scallops are alike ;)
Take American Apparels lacey T shirt...the edges may not be scalloped but that gorge lace pattern sure is.

Sooo Art Deco...just the way we like it. (The color choice of this top is Black El Salvador)

Shpeaking of tops...Chloe called and they said your top is ready...and it's on sale!

Too bad their version of sale is sooo not recessionista chic but it could be very worth the price.
Those delicate flutter SE sleeves paired with the stunningness of the hem and off set buttons...yummmy!
Throw on your fave dark skinnies or high waisted flares and honey, you are a walking definition of chic!

You know our silly love (Ok ..you're right it's an obsession) with Rompers...well thank you Urban for your sticky sweet vintage-esque birdie print number.

This has Coachella written ALL over it!
We think mixing it up with heavier shoes like some Docs or lace up boots and a drapey cardigan will be perfect.

Hello beautimous and striking red dress from Tibi! How's it going? Oh, really? You don't say. Yes you are a great romantic spring dress!

We can wear you to weddings and baby showers and parties and dinners. Your delicate yet strong edge will literally go with every kind of shoe and jacket...done and done!

Ok, you're right...I mean those last few pieces were amazing but not the most affordable and "everyday-able" in the bunch.

Well of course F21 has jumped on the not quite yet here bandwagon and gives us this soft SE mini.
A drapey tee (white would be nice), some booties or flips and hair in a pony will make this skirt a must have for spring.

And for our fave pic of the bunch. We are soooo dying for this dress.

(It might be the girl, the styling and her TDF orangey red lips and stunning beachy hair that are really killing us)

We are suckers for nude lace mixed with toughness so black tights, blk stilettos are dying to be worn with this dress...then put on a denim jacket for good measure.
OR black combat boots or studded converse would look just as rad.

Trying to find the perfect bikini (oh honey...sorry we said the "B" word...yes we are all scared of that asshole of a word) and not sure what to do?

Call your friends at...say it with us CHLOE for your go to suit.
We die for tie sides!

How ever you want them...they got 'em. Scallops are on their way!

Fashion Friday: Don't be a late bloomer..heart some bloomers!

Flip flop...flip flop...flip...haaaaaaaaa....Um...um...hawaii.... hallway....crazy cute Japanese girl gaaaasssppppp!!!!!!
Can't breathe...need help.......4 button nautical bloomers...AHHH... love, twoo love!

What is it about bloomers that is just so great?!?

Is it that they are vintage and we heart (almost) everything vintage? Is it that they are really cute and girly and when paired with something just slightly off they look magnificent? Or maybe it's just because they are quite difficult to pull of but when you do your legs look ah-mazing and heads will turn and say "ooh lala she's tres chic!"

CHLOE!!! WE WANT! WE NEED!!! THIS OUTFIT IS TDF!!!!

Bloomers came into the fashion world in the 1850's when they were supposed to be helping Victorian woman stay "decent" if their skirts lifted during activities. But by the 1860's they failed to catch on.
Then a french designer in 1906 tried to make the Harem pant and bloomers popular and failed again...well Mr. Poiret..I guess you are having the last fashion laugh!

They didn't become fashion smashion until the 1970's and boy are we glad they did!

How ridiculously fantastic is this '70's ad!?! Sooooo great!

Now you gorge ladies (and lads) o' fashion...we would love to show you some of our gorge pics of some gorge blooms...

Hello Miss Isabel Marant...why are you sooooo amazing?
Geesh!
You had us at lame' trouser knee high bootie bloomer thingys. They are beyond beautiful! Thank you.
Now if I could only loose 10lbs and grow 4 inches I would be set and buy them ;).

At first Miss Me (who by the way is the queen of bloomer cuteness) and I thought WOW bloomers at American Apparel! Yippie!!

Then we thought...hmmmm those mannequins are uber skinny and of course they are going to look grand and hot in those...So like the faithful retail economy restorers we are we went in for a closer look.
And to our sweet surprise (and trying on a size or 2 larger than we are) they were really cute! Now, maybe we can't, well won't, rock them like the mannequins in the windows but we will for sure rock them.

Hmmm...but what to rock them with? A cute leotard?...sure! Or a above the hip length A. Wang tank...you bet! And if we are feeling super fashiony and skinny we could bow belt 'em and button up shirt 'em like the example above.

Need a great upscale daytime chic pair?
Try on these Elizabeth and James watercolor bloomers on for size.
Pair with a heather grey over sized or shrunken blazer and a tank...some hot ass heels and you are RTG in the hottest way possible. Get ready to turn heads hotness.

Yay for Helmut Lang!
Your drapey over sized bloomers are fantastic! Thank you!

The perfect cut and menswear fabric make these comfortable shorts super sleek and fashionable. Plus the wider leg opening will make your legs look skinnnny.
Pair with gladiators, booties, black modern wedges for a fashion forward look.

Now, ignore the styling or maybe the way they fit on the model on this next great pair of bloomers....it makes them a bit less...um...good.

But styling aside, these Opening Ceremony shorts are truly wonderful. The high waist and pleats paired with the slightly longer length make these super convertible.

Once again, a great blazer and booties or an over sized cardi and pumps would rock with these.

You know we have these next ones in our shopping cart already...
Leave it to Forever 21 to put out a perfect pair of bloomer-esque shorts. They are men's trouser shorts, meets bloomers, meets military jacket....for a shmancy pants look.

This cut would look really great on anyone brave enough to rock a bloomer and at that price you don't have to worry if you have commitment issues ;)

Oh ebay...we super heart you! Even when we forget to look at your wonders everyday we still heart you...and we heart you even more for these beautiful Diabless Bloomers.
Perfect for the fashion savvy recessionista.

These heather grey trouser bloomers are great.
The wide elastic at the legs is really chic, the pleats and low button waist scream Kate Moss and the color?...done and done.
White slightly drapey tank, bright blazer and slouchy boots or Hunter boots and you are ready for the streets of London Town.

So let your fashionable side blossom and bloom. Grab some bloomers and confidence and you will thank yourself.

Fashion Friday: We Aarrrrggghhhhh Pirate Boots (Arrrggghhh is heart in Pirate)

TGIFF!!! (Thank God It's Fashion Friday!)

We have been on pins and needles waiting for this day... not just Fashion Friday, but because we have been obsessing about doing a Pirate Boot post for a while now and we finally got the green light to do one!

After mental pacing around the room for weeks, our final confirmation that we were on the right path was Miss Me's ridiculously stylish sister. She strode down the Boston streets in a gorge pair of Pirate Boots (you will see them down below)...wooo hooo!

They are back, gorge ladies...Pirate Boots are back! And they are better than ever.

OK, so our obsession of late came because I ran across a pair of rad ass mother f'n buckle boots on our fav website (that one beauties is our lil secret...sowwy).
Look how amazing these are!

So we called, emailed, cried and pouted when we found out they are sold out and will never be back in stock. During our numerous days of pouting...Miss Me and I came across the the inspiration of all inspirations for this post...

Holy Crapola!!! Look how retardedly (in obviously the best way ever) fantastical these Rodarte boots are!

How crazy post worthy are these!!!!!
Perfect heel- √
Amazing grey leather-√
Slouchy, yet still tall so they don't have a Britney effect (hee hee sorry Brit)- √

Ridiculous straps and buckles- √ √ √ √ √ √
OMG! help!! How can we get our paws on these?!?! We will share! We promise!
Then we found these...oh gosh...oh gosh.... here it comes....WAAAAAAaaaaa.

These Chloe Pirate Boots are unbelievably gorgeous in all lands of gorge! Perfect flat over the knee boot! Amazing style..these will up anyones game by makin' your gams look long and lovely.

The Grand Dame of Punk Rock High Fashion, that is Vivienne Westwood is the originator of pirate boots in a high fashion and fashion forward way.

Every star, model, fashionista has or has drooled over a pair of these.

They come in so many colors, heights, heel height and print its crazy, yet its still unbelievably hard to get your hands on a pair.

Until now ;) hee hee. We found a size 9 on Ebay of her 2 inch heel boots.

You're welcome (and lucky cuz Miss Me and I are a 7 and a 7.5). The heeled may be a wee bit harder to wear casually but you are cute..you'll be fine.

Gosh these are gorgeous!!!! We found a store that sells them for a pretty penny..or lots of pretty pennies. But they won't go out of style so it can be considered an investment really!

Hello perf pirate boot that's totally chic and assessable! These are super close to the OG fashion Pirate Boots of Madame V. W.
Jeffrey Campbell birthed these easy breasy beauties in grey and black.

Yum. These are uber versatile too. Pair them with a mini flouncy dress for cute girl style (the kind of style that makes other girls bummed out) or even with jean shorts or over skinny jeans and a drapey tee.

Oooh look how cute this girl looks in them with a lacey dress and tights!

Yup...we are in!

For our gals that lurve a good trend but refuse to wear flat boots...have no fear...Topshop is here.

Their platform open toe pirate bootie (not the food, sillies) is super cute, uber trendy and would be pretty rad with something unexpected, like denim pleated culottes...or a floral mini.

And the nude color won't make your legs look short :) Yippie!

Thank you Free People for sooo many things...especially these crazy cute and easy to wear short pirate booties.

These will go with everything too! Lucky you!

OK...now for the green light boots...Miss AB (Miss Me's sister) was wearing these amazing, sleek, sexy and chic pirate boots from Belle from Sigerson Morrison.

Now mind you..Miss Me and Miss AB can wear anything and they look amazing...and they put together outfits that would make you puke (in a great way) but we thinks these could be sooo good that anyone who wears them will look fab!
Imagine super dark uber skinny jeans, yummy A. Wang tank and a sick cardi or shrunken blazer! Yup...I need a job so I can get these.

Dear, Pirate Boot Goddess...we promise to be good...we promise to not shop (too much) until we can have these! Oh yeah..and we promise to share. If one of us can have the Rodarte

and one can have the Chloe.

Thanks!

Random Hearts: We heart you Stella McCartney!

OK, is it just us or is there something really magical and fairy tale like about the life of Stella McCartney?
Born to Sir Paul McCartney (Rock & Roll Royalty) and  Lady Linda Eastman-McCartney a photographer and animal right activist, Stella grew up traveling the world.
Named after her maternal grandmothers who were both named Stella, she was the second of four children for Paul and Linda.
To say that her parents had a strong relationship is putting it lightly. Stella got to grow up in a home where her parents deeply appreciated each other and their family and spent tons of time working together and touring in the band Wings. Growing up in the country side in a house full of love, children, art, music and sweet happy animals... Sounds pretty perfect to us!

Stella made her first jacket at age 12, at 15 she was interning for Christian Lacriox working on his first collection. Can anyone say dream come true?

In 1995 Stella graduated from Central Saint Martins Collage of Art & Design. For her graduation runway show she got some girlfriends to model for her, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Yasmin Le Bon took to the stage for Ms. McCartney.
WOW, now we know it would be easy to be all jealous of someone who grew up with all these advantages at her fingertips.... But the truth is you can't hate on Stella McCartney, the girl is F*ing amazing at what she does! She would be just as talented no matter who her parents were.

In 1997 Stella took the helm at Chloe, as Karl Lagerfeld departed from the postion, he let it be known that he doubted Stella's ability to strengthen the brand. Well as any girl whorth he salt in the late 1990's can tell you, Stella MaCartney for Chloe was what it was all about! I personally had never paid a bit of attention to the brand until Stella brought her special youthful touch. Who didn't want one of her airbrushed T-shirts?!
To watch footage of her first runway show for Chloe click here

In 2001 Stella McCartney resigned from Chloe to start an eponymous line in a joint venture with Gucci. The fashion lovers of the world applauded this move and have not stopped! Stella McCartney makes some of the most fashion forward and sought after items of each season. She has also branched out into perfume, (both Stella & Stella in Two Peony are favorites of mine!) and a organic, cruelty free skin care line named CARE

Stella McCartney continues to make amazing clothing and accessories that are coveted by fashion lovers all over the world. Another amazing fact about hard-core vegetarian Stella, is that she never uses, fur or leather! (Hooray!) Amazing luxury bags and shoes without a hint of leather... For this alone we heart her!
Stella is now living in London and is married to a super handsome fella with three beautiful children.

Sadly, Stella's life also mirrors a fairy tale in the fact that she lost her beloved, amazing and inspirational mother too young. And, she got a witch of a step-mother shortly after. But hopefully now, Stella and her family can live happily ever after.

We heart you Stella McCartney!
