Fashion Friday: Don't be a late bloomer..heart some bloomers!

Flip flop...flip flop...flip...haaaaaaaaa....Um...um...hawaii.... hallway....crazy cute Japanese girl gaaaasssppppp!!!!!!
Can't breathe...need help.......4 button nautical bloomers...AHHH... love, twoo love!

What is it about bloomers that is just so great?!?

Is it that they are vintage and we heart (almost) everything vintage? Is it that they are really cute and girly and when paired with something just slightly off they look magnificent? Or maybe it's just because they are quite difficult to pull of but when you do your legs look ah-mazing and heads will turn and say "ooh lala she's tres chic!"

CHLOE!!! WE WANT! WE NEED!!! THIS OUTFIT IS TDF!!!!

Bloomers came into the fashion world in the 1850's when they were supposed to be helping Victorian woman stay "decent" if their skirts lifted during activities. But by the 1860's they failed to catch on.
Then a french designer in 1906 tried to make the Harem pant and bloomers popular and failed again...well Mr. Poiret..I guess you are having the last fashion laugh!

They didn't become fashion smashion until the 1970's and boy are we glad they did!

How ridiculously fantastic is this '70's ad!?! Sooooo great!

Now you gorge ladies (and lads) o' fashion...we would love to show you some of our gorge pics of some gorge blooms...

Hello Miss Isabel Marant...why are you sooooo amazing?
Geesh!
You had us at lame' trouser knee high bootie bloomer thingys. They are beyond beautiful! Thank you.
Now if I could only loose 10lbs and grow 4 inches I would be set and buy them ;).

At first Miss Me (who by the way is the queen of bloomer cuteness) and I thought WOW bloomers at American Apparel! Yippie!!

Then we thought...hmmmm those mannequins are uber skinny and of course they are going to look grand and hot in those...So like the faithful retail economy restorers we are we went in for a closer look.
And to our sweet surprise (and trying on a size or 2 larger than we are) they were really cute! Now, maybe we can't, well won't, rock them like the mannequins in the windows but we will for sure rock them.

Hmmm...but what to rock them with? A cute leotard?...sure! Or a above the hip length A. Wang tank...you bet! And if we are feeling super fashiony and skinny we could bow belt 'em and button up shirt 'em like the example above.

Need a great upscale daytime chic pair?
Try on these Elizabeth and James watercolor bloomers on for size.
Pair with a heather grey over sized or shrunken blazer and a tank...some hot ass heels and you are RTG in the hottest way possible. Get ready to turn heads hotness.

Yay for Helmut Lang!
Your drapey over sized bloomers are fantastic! Thank you!

The perfect cut and menswear fabric make these comfortable shorts super sleek and fashionable. Plus the wider leg opening will make your legs look skinnnny.
Pair with gladiators, booties, black modern wedges for a fashion forward look.

Now, ignore the styling or maybe the way they fit on the model on this next great pair of bloomers....it makes them a bit less...um...good.

But styling aside, these Opening Ceremony shorts are truly wonderful. The high waist and pleats paired with the slightly longer length make these super convertible.

Once again, a great blazer and booties or an over sized cardi and pumps would rock with these.

You know we have these next ones in our shopping cart already...
Leave it to Forever 21 to put out a perfect pair of bloomer-esque shorts. They are men's trouser shorts, meets bloomers, meets military jacket....for a shmancy pants look.

This cut would look really great on anyone brave enough to rock a bloomer and at that price you don't have to worry if you have commitment issues ;)

Oh ebay...we super heart you! Even when we forget to look at your wonders everyday we still heart you...and we heart you even more for these beautiful Diabless Bloomers.
Perfect for the fashion savvy recessionista.

These heather grey trouser bloomers are great.
The wide elastic at the legs is really chic, the pleats and low button waist scream Kate Moss and the color?...done and done.
White slightly drapey tank, bright blazer and slouchy boots or Hunter boots and you are ready for the streets of London Town.

So let your fashionable side blossom and bloom. Grab some bloomers and confidence and you will thank yourself.

xoxo t.w.h.

Fashion Friday: We crazy heart the oh sooooo (im)Perfect Tee!

I really can't think of a more perfect piece than a perfectly Imperfect T, to complete, compliment and create an ease in our fashion wardrobe.

No...seriously...I can't...OK, maybe a pair of amazing black or dark wash skinny jeans... but besides that...nada.

Por Que you ask?

Nothing can go with so many pieces or set the tone of an outfit like the perfectly imperfect t-shirt.
It's like the Infomercial of t-shirts...it does it all. It can dress something up or down, can make you look chic and super RTG, it can make you look sooo good but like you don't care too much and best of all, they go with everything!!!

And P.S. These are the new breeds of I.T. (Imperfect Tees), not the amazing old standbys, like the worn out, paper thin modal/rayon ones (although we still UBER heart those a lot!!!).

Woo hoo...

So hold on tight ladies... here are a few we know you will heart. (in no particular order).

Leave it to Free People to make a one shoulder Grecian t-shirt.

There is something super rad about this shirt.

Usually one shoulder tops (and dresses) signal shmancy or night time sexy, but FPs version is unusually sexy and casual at the same time.

The yummy fabric and perfect draping make this shirt super wearable and very versatile. How cute would this look with these destroyed slouchy jeans...

(hee hee they are from FP too...1 stop shop) and flip flops or converse...and a tan ;)

Every one will be super jealous in a good way!

Thank you La Rok for making a drapey t-shirt imperfectly perfect dress.

The amazing Miss Me used this for her rad Ballet fashion post and it's sooo cute, it deserves to be in another.

La Rok took a PE grey drapey top, attached it to a silky slip and ...voila! Sexy...yummy and easy peasy.
You could really pair this dress with any shoes and it will shape shift into what ever you want.

Oh dear goddesses of fashion..thank you and bless you for giving birth to... the one...the only Raquel Allegra. Her gorgeously crafted, beautifully constructed and stunningly draped ITs are absolutely TDF (Too Die For)!
It really doesn't get much better than these. Talk about throwing on a trans formative piece!
These tops will make you look unbelievably chic and for lack of a better word ridiculously stylish.

I actually feel a little sick and pang in my tummy that I don't own any of her collection.

Each piece is unique and stunning and super dramatic. They can be toned up or down but they will never disappear on you. They can go from a day of shopping to a night out or in LALA land a premiere or store opening.

Although this amazing navy, wide neck shirt is totally styled wrong, you can see how beautiful the shirt is.

Pair this one with skinny black jeans and any shoes you desire (depending on where you are off to).

There are no words for how geniusly gorgeous this drapey white top is.

No words, except thank you Raquel for inspiring us.

Her beautiful pieces are super versatile...you can rock them with just about anything! Pair them with studded Louboutins to converse or thigh high boots to combats... there is NO way you will not look chic.

You can go here too, for your very own piece of fashion that will never go out of style.

Ooooppsie...obsessed much?? Yup we are. We just really heart her stuff ;)

We found another line that does R.A. type stuff ...well the diet knock off version of R.A. stuff ;) so buyer beware...there is only 1 Raquel Allegra...

And because here at TWH, we lurve to be super inspired by others style and fashion as much as the next... we do not support knock offs (especially those that are at the expense of the talent of amazing and emerging designers).

Any whooo ;)....

Wanna be more of a DIY IT girl?

Sauce's yummy drapey safety pin tee is perf for you. Although it already comes perfectly pinned..you can remove them (and you need to when you wash it..take it from me) and re situate them any way you want.

It's really versatile and you will love it!

This will look super cute with denim shorts like these from F21
(wooo hoo cheap!) and short moccasins or our fav...studded cons.

Lookin for a lil wow factor version? A lil more night time-esque? A lil more "come hither cute boy and look how hot I am" version? Look no further than Vena Cava's version of the IT.
Beautifully body conscious and gorgeously detailed. The lace cut outs on the shoulders and the back are sooo incredibly yet discretely sexy.

Pair with a high waist (not too tight) skirt and these sick wedges for a great date look.

Mr Helmut Lang who has given us everything from Moto Leather Leggings and perfectly cut suits to the OG sheer tee and ridiculously fantastic sweaters has graced us with his version of the IT.

It's drapey and yummy and well simply great!

Throw this beauty over harem pants or these great cigarette jeans

and heels with a leather jacket for the perfect look.

Wanna just be cas and run to the 'Bu with the girls? OK, perf... toss on boyfriend denim shorts and rad gladiators..easy and peasy (but chic..hello? you're wearing H.L.!)

Have fun! Be Perfectly Imperfect!

Fashion Flash Friday: We heart Reptile Prints!!

Sitting here in the hot-ass desert that is the fabulous, Las Vegas (it is a desert, right?)  thinking to ourselves... (well actually drinking Lava Flows and chatting away)...

Miss Me:  "Wow it's so hot let's shed our clothes!"  (no sickos.... not nekkid but to our cutie bean bikinis and with a bit o' spf 30)
Miss T.W.H.: "Yes. please. miss me. asap!...let's shed 'um like a snake"
Miss Me: "Hmmmm, you may be onto something..."
At the same time: "Yummm!!  Snakeskin!!!"  (the fabric kind..not the real kind)

There is just something so super rad about snake and reptile print clothing, (if done right of course!)  and we don't mean when it is on spandex or leather... we just mean amazing pieces in done in a fun print.

Now, we all know how leopard print can either be uber fashionista or uber hookerista and the line is very distinct... well it's the same with snake or reptile prints.
One wrong turn and you are headed to a cheesy discotheque,
(this is the wrong way to do reptile)

But go down the right path and you are chic, chic, chic.  Not to mention a step ahead of the fashion crowd.

Our love started somewhere in the '90s when we were mere kids dreaming of fashion and creating looks from salvation army finds...but we were re-awoken (word?  if not, it is now) when we saw these ridiculously amazing dresses on a certain runway show in 2005.  Snakeskin!
Done in the most beautiful designs, and fabrics.  So slinky yet sooo wearable and tres chic!  Yes Please!

Ever since then, we have been waiting patiently for the right moment in fashion to bust a move on snake prints and lovelies....it is time!
Here are a few of our favs at the moment....

Um, hello turquoise blue snake print dolphin '80s shorts!!!  You had us at...well, you had us at all of it!   80's, turq, snake and short shorts???  Done and done..  we are still trying to figure out a great outfit with these but so far we think a vintage tee and booties shall do the trick.  Just try not to pair with pumps (unless they are yellow or 80's) cuz these could take the bad turn.

Now, need your snake served a bit more mellow?  This Helmut Lang tee should be right up your alley.
Just a touch of snake and a sprinkle of cool.  Pair with great jeans or jean shorts or even a high waist skirt.  YAY easy peasy.

How about this super cute dress from Something Else by Natalie Wood?  So cute!
So summery and chic!  Pair with great flip flops (see our No Bueno for help) or fantasmic yellow gladiators and Hello cuteness!

Need a bit o' snakeskin for a glamorous night on the town or for a great party?  Look no further than Miss DKNY.  Great cut, great print and no one will dare to look this hot and fashion forward.  SO memorable.

Um and it was a certain some one's bday but the one thing she was drooling over were these amazing boots from Hunter and Jimmy Choo.

Now, she doesn't really need them but how fantastic would these be under, say an Xmas tree (they are for fall after all and she got sooo many generous gifts already).  P.S.  No Crocs were hurt in the making of these boots (YAY!!) they are fake.

Still not buying the whole reptile thing?  What about this great dress from Thayer?  Such a good piece!

Perf for summer with heels or flats and it can even go into fall with some tights and black pumps and a motorcycle jacket.  We say, great investment!  You should do our stocks (if we had any left).

OK, now the recession is tough, money is tight and fashion is well... mucho dinero... so how about taking a journey to Ebay city and picking up a piece there and making it your own? If you work it, it will work.

How great is this dress.  A perfect statement piece.  It says, "Hello, I am glamorous in a boho kinda way, but confident and sexy enough to stand out in a good way"
We really heart this piece from Jay Godfrey and VH looks great in it too.  Hey VH...it was our bday FYI.. :)  Just saying.

Go have fun with fashion!  That's what it's for!
