No Bueno: Act your age!

While we like to buck the rules of fashion.... We can not for the life of us understand why some young women choose to dress themselves in a way that makes them look SO much older then they are.

Today we take a look at two repeat offenders.

They have done it before...

Picking dresses and hairstyles that would look better on women twice their age.

And this week, while looking at our favorite mean girls dish on fashion blog,

We were shocked to see that Katherine Heigl and Hayden Panettiere were back at it again paying tribute to the Golden Girls themselves.

Seriously Hayden... That hair?

Your body is WAY to cute for that dress... I think this dress was on Dynasty once.

Oh Katherine...

We are so torn up over you.

We love LOVE loved you in Knocked Up and in The Ugly Truth...

But we feel so differently when we see you on the red carpet, read your interviews, or see you on talk shows.

It is OK to be young and sexy! It is ok to let your hair be a little messy!

That is what is so great about the fact that we are not living in the 50's anymore.

You don't HAVE to do this.

You don't have to be stiff to be classy... Take a look at Reese Witherspoon and Diane Kruger and Well, we cant think who else right now.. But take a look around Katherine!

Chill the fuck out.

OK, Sorry we got a little rant-ish there... But we really think it is no bueno to age yourself so much when you are a beautiful young girl.

Remember this scene in S.A.T.C 2?

All I could think when I saw this scene was... That dress isn't too young for Samantha, it is to old for Miley! With those boots? Come on.

Your as young as you feel! If you are 50 and you have the legs for a mini... DO IT!

We are rooting for you!

But if your are 20-something and you are dressed like your 70... Girls, we gotta talk.

Bueno: Hooray for Hollywood!

It's that time of year again!

THE weekend is here!!

Red carpets are fantastic, but that is not the part we heart the best....

Forget Cinderella, forget Snow White, Forget all of those fairy tales.....

For thousands of little girls all over the world, the most magical fairy tale happens right here in Hollywood California once a year.

Our favorite part of the Academy Awards.... Are the actresses who get to bring home that little gold man!

Sheer Joy!

Disbelief!

Relief!

It is truly a magical moment to see a girl win an Oscar... It gets us every single time!

We are deeply envious and excited and tingly all at the same time!

Good luck tomorrow ladies, you will be entering a very special club made up of dreamers and doers...

And inspiring at least a few little girls sitting on the carpet in front of her television

beginning to dream.

Decor to Die for: Vanity Tables

There is something so sexy about a vanity table. They are so romantic and feminine and they don't scream as much as whisper old hollywood movie star glamour...

Right now we are hearting and dreaming of a super stylish and super sexy dressing table of our very own... Just like Carrie's!

Oh how we envy the mirrored vanity with the round mirror against the grey blue walls... Not to mention that Chanel scarf!

Well, our search for the perfect vanity would be over and done with... If we lived across the pond in merry old London Town... Or anywhere in the UK for that matter.

Because this Barcelona vanity from Graham and Green is the perfect mixture of romantic and modern... But sadly for Yankees, G&G don't ship outside of the UK. 

But lucky for us, our J'adorable boyfriend Johnny Adler is here to make us feel better with his Channing desk... We say forget the office work and lets use this desk for beauty work! 

Hang an extremely simple and clean mirror right above it and viola! Instant femme fatale! 

This one from P.B might work because it is so simple and has that extra little shelf for all your beautiful perfume bottles... 

But this Bianca Mirror's height and curves might clash just enough with the clean modern lines of the Channing desk to be really fantastic and interesting... 

(Minus the sconces of course!) 

For a more affordable alternative to the Channing, is West Elms Parsons desk. 

We gotta admit, we love this wallet friendly classic, you can choose from four colors. Miss Me has the green one in her little office and it makes her smile daily.  

Now I just need to find the perfect vanity to compliment my new super romantic bedroom!

Speaking of romantic... Well this is just torture because this vanity is also from our friends at Graham and Green so I guess unless you are reading this from your cottage in Kent your are S.O.L.

Bring G&G to America!! 

So the search continues for the perfect dressing table. We have found a few that certainly inspire us... 

Just like in Carrie's apartment you can see that most shades of blue work beautifully with mirrored anything... 

Ohhh these drawers! You know how the T-W-H girls feel about super organized drawers! 

We were also taken with the idea of a lucite vanity... Hmmmm it could work very well.... We have always hearted those amazing Ghost chairs...

All we have been able to find so far is this slender lucite console from Crate & Barrel that would be perfect if you were working with a small or narrow space. 

We heart the way that lucite just sort of floats in a room... 

We heart it so much we think we know what our next decor post is gonna be.... 

We also found this to DIE for, perfect, large scale vintage lucite desk on 1st dibs that we are soooo crushing on, but in the price section it says "Contact seller" and that can only be a heart breaking phone call.
