New York Fashion Week 2014- Nothin like a lil mom brain (and jealousy - the good kind) to inspire us

Well hello there!  How are you?  Loooooong time no talk..  We missed you just as much as you miss us.  Wanna know how much?  So much we stayed up just to write this for you...(and us)

With 5 babies between us it has been really hard to get to sit and write.  Inspiration is everywhere but at the end of the day a glass of Rosé, a soft pillow and a yummy man seems to call us so loud we can't quite get to write to you.  SORRY!

But the good news is... this NYFW has given us a kick in the ass.  It was SO good this season we had no choice but to tell Rosé to join us and keep us company.   SO cheers!

Ok this dress was the reason for everything...a reason to breathe, write, get married, drink, sing...you name it!  You had us at hello Carolina Herrera

Um, hi Ohne Titel...who are you and how have we never met??  You are chic..like sleek chic.
Are you sportswear? swim? day?  We can't get you but we love everything about you.

This dress is incredible...one day...maybe after more Kayla.

Victoria Beckham... I mean come on?!?  You have the man...THE MAN,  the cutest kids (except for a few we know), the bod, the girls (spice style) and now you have the line that keeps getting better and better.  It was polished and chic like always with a beautiful twist of quirky.  Thank you.  We will need it all sent to our house.

Oh and this sweater belongs on our bodies all day/all night.

And we can never say no to a good slouchy pant.  They are like our day wear, night wear...everything wear and no one this season did a better one then the sparkly girl herself, Gwen Stefani for LAMB.  She and her designer, Paula Bradley knocked it out of the park this season... with their Spring Revival deliciousness.

Oh and to go along with those bright pieces?  They were lucky enough to get their hands on one of the best Makeup Artists in the game,  Mr Gregory Arlt.  His gorgeous bright liner pared with perfectly glowy skin was stunning!

Oh Phillip...you break our hearts (and banks) every time.  Your bright, light and architecturally perfect collection for 3.1 Phillip Lim was a breath of fresh amazing.

This white on white ensemble is so chic.

Hands down one of the most talented designers of our time is Prabal Gurung.  He continues season after season to deliver NEW, unstoppable, innovative and gorgeous clothes.  He knows no trends, only beautiful silhouettes.  

He can do this perfectly beautiful (yet different) dress that we all NEED

then, oops..oh whats that?  you need an AMAZING sweater that you can have forever and ever and everyone will cry and drool as you walk by...Ok, here!

Fashion Friday: Get Outta Here!!! We heart weekend getaways...

Ahhhhhh there is nothing like a quick getaway...and we are not talking after robbing a bank or a 1 night stand (dirty birdie!)...we are talkin' a great weekend away from the stresses o' life.

The best part of a quickie away? You don't have to stress about packing!!!

OK, maybe that is a lie because Miss Me and I are the queens of overpacking...

That said, she and I also agree that there is no such thing as overpacking....we are like the Girl Scouts...always prepared!

But...to save you the stress of knowing what to throw in your cute weekender bag...(Don't have one? There is one below...You're welcome) we have picked out a few of this seasons finest pieces...

OK...you will need a great top. This one we found from Penumbra is part comfy t-shirt meets great chic casual hotness.

We loooooove a good back...what a way to make an exit! And the off the shoulder slouchiness? Perfecto! Tuck into a high waist skirt or pair with great jeans and you are RTG for the night out after a great day....

Small enough to throw into any car and big enough to hold all your weekend items. Done and cutie bean done!

We looove this Rozae Nichols dress that is perfect with flip flops or hot ass sandals in the sunshine hours...

But would also look ah-mazing with great heels or rad wedges o' the season....

Oh...hello there ridic printed lace up sandals!!!!! You are fucking hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will wear you with high waist skirts and tees...OR jeans OR the rad dress above...or maybe...just maybe we will be lucky enough to get the shorts we have been crying over (literally) since December.

Ooooh! Before we get too deep into the land of rad ass clothes for your sexy weekend in the sun...don't forget your SPF! Yes freckles are cute but wrinkles are sooo last decade...
We are OBSESSED with this mineral powder spf to go from Peter Thomas Roth....sooooo great and doesn't cake up or look clownish...

OK...choo choo...back to the nitty gritty....

You need an unforgettable bikini for your gorge and unforgettable bodies! Well we just happen to have a gorge one to feast your eyes on.
Mara Hoffman serves the sexy UP in her fringey yummy bikini....soooo cute!!!!

P.S. You could wear the top for a bralette (sooooooo in this season and next!) and a ...say it with us..."high waist skirt or shorts..."

Tear, tear...sniff sniff...WAAAAAAA!!!! We are DYING for this drop crotch plaid slouchy shorts from Phillip Lim....
PLEASE help us get these! If not you should for your great getaway and pair with those rad sandals above or flip flops or cons and a great tank....Oooohhh a striped A Wang tank would look delicious with these!

You are gonna need the perf pair of jeans for your weekend trip (and for ever other day of your life) that go from day excursion seamlessly into night with the switch of a shoe right?
Then how about these AG Skinnies? Perfect with literally EVERYTHING!

And last but sooooo not least (we didn't put sunglasses in...sorry...give us a break! We are on our own holiday...hee heee...next time...promise!) a great panama hat for your chicness.
Not only do we suuuper heart this Panama from Jcrew...but we bought it and can't wait to wear it when we get home! It looks great with sundresses and jeans with T's....

Fashion Friday: We heart White after labor day

Oh Dear Lord...Monsieur Rick Owens!!!!!!!!!!!! You had us at ...well everything! His yearly tribute to wearing White after Labor Day

Who says you can't wear white after labor day? No...seriously..who says?

We looked to see who came up with that silly...silly rule and it seems as if it came from nowhere. It is more of a huuuge secret mystery...made up by people that thought it would be fun to watch people squirm and squeeze out every last bit of white clothing by the first week of September...

Oh and P.S. it seems to only really be embraced in the good ol' US of A.

No one knows why it started here except for the fact that there was one silly little saying that white shoes after labor day were a no-no (but look below and you will see why the no white shoes rule is just as lame!) and some how is morphed into white clothes.

But those days are ova bunny cats! OVER! Why should there be rules for fashion?

Well except for the simple ones like no panty lines under tight clothes

...and no CT (camel toes...eewwww sorry but it's true!)

...and no head to toe labels...umm that's all we can think of now. But, see rules for fashion are silly!

Oooopsie...there maybe just a few simple White After Labor Day rules that everyone should probably listen to...

1. No linen...it's just too summery and light and hard to layer

2. If you live in a place (LAites are lucky) where you are lucky enough to comfortably rock open toed shoes in the fall and winter...please oh please do not wear with hose... but please oh please rock them with dark tights!

3. Put the leg warmers away...enough said...1983 is over and you are not a ballerina or 4 years old.

Sorry Milla! You are a fashion goddess but maybe you were jet lagged that day...

OK...enough...right? That's all we think..fashion is fun so almost anything else goes..

Next up in the reasons NWALD is a stupid rule is from the man who makes me cry (in a super good fashion loving way) every time I see his fashion shows or clothing in the stores...is a gorgeous with a capital G leather, strong shoulder jacket from the one...the only...Rick Owens!
