Beauty-fuls: Brush it off! We heart knowing what the heck to do with all these makeup brushes!!!

Ugggghhh we hate to sound soooo high maintenance but the fact is.... although we are both pretty au-natural gals, (we don't really wear a lot of make up) we heart a good make up brush.

We know, we know...it sounds sooooooo shi-shi but it's true... a good brush can change the way you wear make up for good.

So.... so long over application and uneven colors...

And hello quick easy and gorgeous (not that you're not already...cuz you are!)!!!

They just make the fun task of applying makeup wayyyy better and more rewarding....

And away we goooooooo!

We can not tell you how much we super heart this first brush from Sephora. Not only does it work unbelievably well, but it's dual ended.

One side is glorious for powder or blush application and the other does wonders for natural looking eye shadow! 2 for 1? Music to our wallets!

Also from Sephora (of course! we are obsessed with this store...along with every other makeup junkie in town) is their new line of I.T. brushes.

This blush brush is perfect for applying blush, powders and highlighters.
The best part about their I.T. brushes???!?! They come with their own covers. So no more broken brissles and smooshed uneven brush heads!

Shpeaking of brushes in their own cases to keep them safe...

Our go to company for synthetic hair brushes (woo hoo...go Vegans!) EcoTools has a great brush for you Mineral Makeup junkies!
It's compact but packs a punch...and no more messy makeup bags!!!!

Huh? What's that you say? You love a good travel brush that does it all? Oh well we got good news for you! Thanks to Bobbi Brown...the Goddess of stunning "natural" beauty.
Her (almost) all in 1 brush is great for blending, bronzer, powder and blush...and it comes with a faux leather travel case to keep it safe and sound! Woo hooooo!!!

This next beauty brush was shown to us by a gorgeous red head who is also a no make up make up kinda gal. Bronzer seems like the hardest makeup to apply. Not any more!
This Smashbox fan brush was originally intended to help get excess makeup off but it's hidden use is for perfect, natural looking beach bronzed faces. One swipe and watch out Gisele!

Dying to have that oh so stunning winged eye?

Or just simply want to look like you have naturally lined lids and a fuller lash line? This next beauty does the trick...and easily.
Dip this bad boy into gel liner, dry powder or creme and voila! Hello hotness!

Need all your brushes at once?? Here is a great brush set with all you need and maybe a few you don't....
Sonia Kashuk's tool set is pretty darn close to perfection! Since it is a lower priced set, the brushes may not all be up to par but in a pinch you won't be sorry.

You may have noticed (or not) that we didn't include a myriad of other brushes like foundation, concealer and lip...

Well kittens...that's because we think they are pointless!
Why you ask? Well, we will show yous...

Need a good tool to apply foundation other than your polished pretties and a streaky brush? Sonia Kashuk's Blending Sponge will do the trick gorgeously!

Need proof? We have seen this sponge (or one exactly like it) on the vanity of one of the worlds most beautiful ladies...

The best and cheapest tool you can ever get for applying concealer on those pesky dark circles is not a tool at all...it's your ring finger. It's the perfect shape and the most delicate of all the fingers.

No wonder diamonds look soooo good on it!

And the number 1 no fuss makeup tool that you don't have to spend a grip on? The good ol' fashioned Qtip!

Perfect for messes, light blending and applying a smokey liner...

Oh wait!!!! One more super important thing!!!! Clean your brushes weekly if not daily!!!
Clean brushes mean cleaner, less clogged pores! We heart Sephora's brush shampoo for weekly cleans.

Or you can use a gentle baby shampoo to do the trick.

So what ever brush you pick up to paint your pallet...

Just remember...true beauty is from with in...make up is not necessary to be beautiful.

Beauty-fuls: We heart holiday makeup looks!

With the Holiday Season in full effect it's time for our fav things.......PARTIES!!! We luuurve any great excuse to dress up and not look like tomboys for a second.

And what's better than a party?...A holiday party. And what makes a Holiday party even better? Fun makeup! Well fun makeup and champagne that is.

Finally festive makeup gets its due attention. Who doesn't love a good red lip or sparkly glittery eye?

No really? Who? Just tell us...seriously tell us? Hee hee.
OK, you don't have to say a word but trust us ladies of Things We Heart...they will after this post. And if they don't...um...well...nothing...

So let's jump on our sleigh of sparkle...our wagon of wonder...our hybrid of holiday makeup...our car of crismon...our...OK OK... we will stop.

Here we go..all aboard our boat of beauty...Sorry hee heeee.

The number 1 go to holiday makeup item are red lips.

Luscious deep, red lips. You could literally keep your whole face clean (well a bit o' blush and concealer can't hurt) and pop on some red and look done.

MACs Viva Glam is a universally flattering deep red color. It will truly look amazing on everyone!

And the best part? They donate 100% of the proceeds of each sale to the fight against HIV/AIDS. That's worth it right there.

But if you are looking for a brighter more true red that lasts thru your 4th glass of champers then look no further than Loreal's Endless Lipstick in Crimson Joy.

I think I shall pick up a tube of this ASAP considering my hankering for a champagne proof lip color.

Another amazing way to look full o' cheer? Sparkly eye makeup....yup liner and shadow.

Well, maybe not together but both are suuper sexy and crazy alluring.

One swipe of Nars' Silent Night gold glam shadow and you are good to go!

The gold flecks of glittering gold are g-g-gorgeous!

Our newest crush in shadows are the ones that are practically luminescent (or chrome-like if you apply with a slightly heavier hand)...not glittery or shimmery but glowy.

We suuuper heart these 3 colors from Bobby Brown.

Ppsst...try the pewter for a lightly smoldering eye...hotness!

PS Both these shadows are begging for red lips! Just use a light hand when applying.

We have been OBSESSED with glittery eyeliner since my bout with turquoise glitter incident at Miss Me's wedding.
We were made fun of but looking back it was sooo pretty! We now have about 10 different colors and as we went thru them for this post we found the 2 perfect ones for the holidays. You're welcome!

Sephora makes a great black and silver specked pencil liner that is super easy to use.

And now they created an entire kit for the perf glittering eye look!

Easy breezy beautiful...we love the silver liquid one that you can put on the tip of your lashes for a come hither look.

Last week at our bi-weekly jaunt into XXI, we came across a super great sparkling liquid liner in gold and silver.

It would look amazing lining a small part of your top OR bottom lid.

For a tutorial of how to get the most glam glitter eye go here...it's easy and fast and worth it.

Another tip for the perfect eye....don't forget the lashes! They will work wonders...we promise!

These amazing ones from Sonia K at Tar-Jay only look whorish...but once you put them on you won't believe your eyes...literally...you won't believe your EYES!
They will make your bfs and gfs swoon with lust and jealousy...Done and Devilishly Done!

Now, for an over all "glow" that looks more like your skin is made of pearl rather than shimmer, we are crazy in heartville with Too Faced Candlelight glowing powder.

It makes you look lit within and ethereal...we'll take it!

Why should your face have all of the fun glowy fun...Make your gorge bod glow glam style with this ridiculously cute and yummy smelling shimmer powder from Benefit.
Just put a little of the lilac silvery shimmer on with the pouf and poof! Sex-y to the 3rd power. Watch out Sasha Fierce!

And for the finishing touches that will leave you soooo sparkly...soooo glittery...sooo perfectly festive you will wish it was the Holidays all year round!

Oooh la la...we heart a good glitter polish...

Deborah Lippmann gives it to us good with her holiday vampy polish set. Soooo chic!
Loving that Ruby Red Slippers...sooo vampire chic! (Edward we miss you!!!!)
That black is pretty f'n fantasmic as well!

Nail salons love them a good China Glaze color...last week we did the silver sparkle (3 coats) and it's soooo cute!

I can't stop staring at my nails...but too bad for my BF...now they are too cute to do the dishes ;)
Thank God for dishwashers!

Why should your face, body and nails have all of the fun???
Your hair would die to be shimmery and festive too!

Mr. Fekkai brings us yet another glitter flecked product for your hairs pleasure.
His Gelee mist in Golden Shimmer will turn your limp locks into luminous gorge locks in no time flat!

Go party! Get glittery and glowy!!!

P.S. Even after your partying and champers...don't forget to take off all your gorge makeup! I keep a package of makeup wipes by my bed for just those nights ;)

Beauty-fuls: Eye Love You...we heart "Natural" looking eyes hadows!

You know when you see a girl who is TDF gorgeous...like "...Really are you freaking kidding me? That's how you look with no make up on?" ....gorge.

Well lovers of Things We Heart, we are here to tell you...she's wearing makeup.
No really! She is...unless she's Kate Bosworth or Kelly Wearstler...

...she is for sure wearing it.

Pros like to call it the No Makeup Makeup and it's about time that we all get to be that chick who people whisper about (in a good way).

We were inspired to do this post because of 2 incidents...1st when we saw a certain movie this weekend...we are not allowed to talk about it again until June 2010...but we gasped and literally held hands when we saw how we never noticed how unbelievably naturally stunning the lead actress was (OK....OK... we saw New Moon! and loved every F'n second of it...so much one of us changed our Blackberry name to E Cullen...don't tell my BF...OOOOPS..) We digress... sorry...hee hee

Bella Swan's eye makeup in particular was perfection. It brought out her true beauty with out hiding her at all.

Not Bella but a bella and this is the PERFECT example of No Makeup Makeup...great colors!

Then, I went to coffee with one of the prettiest girls around and actually got teary eyed (Hey! I had my period) when I saw her...she looked DDG (Drop Dead Gorgeous)!
After yelling at EF for being soooo pretty, I asked her for her eye makeup tips and she said yes!!!

So we...the ladies of Things We Heart would love to divulge the secrets to the perfect No Makeup Eye Makeup! Woo hoo!

First up is the eye makeup that makeup artist Van Phue gives us the dirt on BS's (Bella Swan) beautiful eyes.

After prepping her lids with a primer from Smashbox, she swept on 3 shades of neutral shadow from M.A.C.

Wedge, Blanc Type an Phloof. The effect was a smoldering nude yumminess.
I wonder if EC will fall in love with us if we do our eyes like her....hmmmmm.

OK, next up are the beautiful tricks of our beautiful friend.

Her glowing eyes were enough to make us fall in love...here is what she uses.
When she is getting gussied up she uses Chantecaille Shine Eyeshadow Powder.

There is a neutral trio that she loves, but she suggests going to the counter to find the best neutral shades for your ojos.
But when she is meeting a friend and wants to be perfectly unmade up, she turns to Estee Lauder's Creme Blush in Nude Light (yes it's a blush and looks like her face and eyes are lit by the sun)

...and lines the upper lid with a soft colored Kohl pencil from Trish McEvoy.
We are FOR SURE stealing her look...

Now for a few amazing "Natural" colored shadows we found..see how much we love you?! Sooo much research...OK it is for us too but we would never do it unless you cared too ;)

We super heart this kit from Too Faced called the Natural Eye Neutral Eye Shadow kit. Cute!

It comes with all of the colors (9 total!) you need for that perfect natural eye makeup look for any occasion.
And it even includes a how to! You will be a glowing fairy goddess in no time with this palette of cuteness. You're welcome!

Loving this next kit from Stila....the perfectors (sp?) of the natural look bring you their Purrfect Eyes Talking Palette.

Now it was designed for the Cat Eye look that we all suuuper heart but after looking at it, all of the colors included are perfect for a beautiful natural look.
Even the liner pen is great to line your lashes so they look super lush. And the best part? You can create that gorge cat eye for a date and you don't even need any other makeup. That's what we call recessionista chic.
Oh and if that isn't enough? ...It talks!!!! What??? Yup it gives you a step by step!!! Amazing!

Speaking of recessionista chic..while taking a bi-weekly trip into Target we found ourselves once again the the makeup aisles and ran across this great duo from Sonia Kashuk called Leather and Lace (oooh kinky...and that sounds like a great Friday post!).

It has 2 tones that are begging to help you look naturally perfect (not that you are not already...but they will enhance you even more)

Now if you are soooo lazy that you can't be bothered with brushes, primers and application then try these uber bazaar eyeshadow "stickers" from Coloronpro.

Super weird but look crazy cool.

Check out a past post we did that includes so great eye primers to make your new purchases stick and not melt off. (Scroll down a tweeny bit)

Pinkvilla has a great tutorial on the best way to do a natural eye...go here! It's really easy and good.

We lurve that the natural look is back in! What good is makeup if it hides you?
Well yes, it is crazy fun to get all dolled up but it is just as fun to have your lovers and friends say..."Wow...she is sooo naturally beautiful" ...'cuz you are.

P.S. THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO THE "NATURAL" LOOK KIM...sorry for yelling but come on!
