We know you guys, We know.... We've been gone almost over a year, with two beautiful babies to show for it... And endless good intentions to sit down and post a wonderful piece for our true blue readers and supporters.... And we come back for Lana Del Rey?!

We are officially obsessed. Going through the day checking and re-checking google images to make sure that, yes! Lana Del Rey does still look EXACTLY like the older drugged sister from Sixteen candles!

We really want to hate her.... It has been so long since these feeling of confusion, stomach churning dislike mixed with secret admiration and jealousy have reared their ugly heads inside of us. Almost exactly, since high school actually.

All we hear about these days is Lana Del Rey.... Our husbands listen to her in the car, in the office and are constantly trying to convince us that her songs are actually really new and innovative and that her lyrics are amazing...

Yeah, thats true.. Ok, we really DO like the lyrics to Video Games..

She MIGHT even actually be a Gangsta Nancy Sinatra or WHATEVER.... But we know 96% of it has to do with the fact that home girl looks like this....

Lana is like every indy, musician , skater boy, graffiti guys dream girl... In the end does it really even matter if she was manufactured in a record company board room?

She wears short, shorts and red high top converse in her F*cking videos people!

She wears ringer shirts and Esther Williams style flowers in her hair!

If she was created in a board room, then there were some genius decisions made that day!

As much as we want to be haters, we kinda can't... And why do we want to be anyway? Why did we spend/waste time finding her before and after plastic surgery photos?

We live in HOLLYWOOD.... Who hasn't had a little work done? Although we do love the gals who openly cop to it, (because it's a little insulting to think we are that naive?) does it really make a difference? She was pretty in the before pictures anyway....

Take us straight to the BAR! (Hey what do you want from us? We are new moms!) Local-ish Edition

Yes...it's exactly what you are thinking...that is if you are thinking of the newest bars in town. Oh wait!! As much as Miss Me and I LOOOOOVEEEE ourselves a good Champagne or 5...

We are talking about a whole other type of bar. The kind of bar that makes us look and feel beautiful with out having to make use of Beer and Vodka Goggles *The "beer goggles" are considered to have distorted the "wearer's" vision, making unattractive people appear beautiful, or at least passably attractive.*

In LaLa Land and a few other major cities in the US, beauty bars are popping up everywhere. They promise total beauty in no time flat and charge almost nothing for it...um hello? Did you read that right? Yup, you totally did!

There are 2 we can't get out of our heads (or wallets) They each have their own specialty so you know you're getting the best...I mean you wouldn't go to a hand surgeon for brain surgery right? Nail salons have been around for decades so it makes perfect sense why there would be shops popping up that do one thing and they do that one thing amazingly.

Soooo you may have seen a few of our tweets lately drooling over The Dry Bar by uber mom, Alli Webb. It's a blowdry ONLY salon!!! Walk in with dirty dry hair and leave with glam goddess waves...done and done!

I know...we hate her too (in the best most adoring way of course) ...anywhoo.. The Dry Bar is amazeballs. You walk in to a salon so chic, so cute you would die to have designed it yourself or have it as your dream bathroom. Its filled with white marble, white chairs and shelves and sunshine yellow accents....DELISH!!!!!

It's visual perfection. Then $35 (or $40 for you NYC'rs) and 30 min later you walk out with perfect hair....just choose your look from their menu and let the mavens take over...

To say we are obsessed is an understatement. Yep...it totally is an indulgence but it's sooooo worth it! And for $35 for shiny, sexy hair in under 30 min?! Yes PLEASE!!! Nothing makes a new mom feel rejuvenated like gorge hair...ok... gorge hair and a nutella panini.

Oh, PS they are opening locations EVERYWHERE!!!

Ok, so we found the next bar from Daily Candy and it was crazy love at first site. Its a super cute boudiour of a store that can take you from tired ol' gal to glam goddess in 30 flat. Introducing Blushington.

A makeup bar that just does that...make up! Finally...no more booking terrifying blind dates with your local MAC counter...walking in not knowing what is about to happen.

Blushington promises perfection and you can choose your look from their super cute menu. They also offer classes for new mommies on how to look gorge in 5 min!!!!!

So have no fear ladies....Blushington and The Dry Bar are there to help you look like a hot piece of ass with not a lot of cash :) (and in no time flat ...we couldn't figure out a rhyme for that one)

Oh hello there! How's it going? Good? That's amazing...so are we. Thanks for asking! Been a wee bit busy over here but thought we would come back and say.....WE F**N MISSED YOU GUYS!!!!!!

We just couldn't stay away. And in honor of our 1st post in a while....we wanna do one of our faves. The Emmy Awards winners. Nope, not the winner winners....the fashion winners. Oh, yeah...no prob...you are soooo welcome.

Sooo with out further adieu... (we are old friends after all so no need to reintroduce ourselves right? or do idle chit chat to get comfy again) The fashion fabs and flubs of the Emmy's.

Good news or bad news first? Totally...agreed.

Jennifer Carpenter...well done my dear! Show that boy what he's missing. Good ombre hair (but it could have been a wee bit more discheveled for that "I just had sex" look)...nice shoes and that delish Tony Ward nudey-silvery , sexpot dress.

Yummy Kerry YUUMMMYYY! How fantabulously gorgeously amazing does she look in this red firework sparkly gown?!?!?

So beautiful...we want...we need. Just the right amount of classic with a dose of modern and a sprinkle of perfection!

Dear Amy Poehler, you madame are a genius. Not only are you insanely hilarious, super cute and talented but you are married to one of the funniest men in the universe! Oh and your Peter Som futuristic dress is divine!

Fashion Friday: The Rad Brides...

Soooooooo...HI THERE!!!!

Ok now before you burst into tears from crazy excitement about us being back and ready to attack, here is a tiny warning...

We will be posting as much as we can but they may be shorter and super sporatic since the new bunnies in our lives run our daily lives and by the time most people are having dinner....we are snuggling in bed ready to pass out.

Ok, since no one we know is getting married, but it is spring and dresses are popping up we thought we gotta give a shout out to super rad alternative wedding dresses. The dresses for our readers, for us, for the cool girls...the ones that aren't afraid to be themselves....

We super heart this Hippie meets City chic dress. Yes, we know it was not meant to be a wedding dress persay but it totally can be. Wear soft nude heels or sandals for a beachy hippie vibe or crazy rad booties for a "watch the fuck out Pat Fields" vibe.

Can't afford the A.L.C. version? Asos gives us this lil diddy...

So he owns Urban, Anthro, Free Peeps, We the Free and now the man that brought us our faves brings us BHLDN . A super rad bridal boutique for us cool kids! Thank god! No more fluff and frill!

We heart this black and white ruffled version! And paired with red heels or leopard? Um yes please!!!

Hello stupidly gorgeous water color dress from BCBG!!

Wowo! This has NYC written all over it! Slick hair, amazing makeup and diamond cuffs for days would be gorge with this simple yet sexy dress.

If Carrie was gonna get Married to big on the beach she would totally wear this dress from Halston.

(sorry for the slightly dated example...we still watch SATC everyday on E!)

Yummies: We Heart the best kind of gifts....the home made edible kind!!!

Yummm....yummm....yummmm in the tum...tum...tum!!! We are coocoo crazy in lusty heartville with edible gifts. Not only are they muy delicious but they come from the heart and always get used...unlike that weird gadget your Aunt gave you last year....

This year we decided to take the Martha S path and bake up some delectable deliciousness to the 3rd power.

We packed them up super cute style and they were a huuuge hit!***

***Disclaimer...they were also a huuuuge hit at home when of course we accidentally may have left some out of the gifts and accidentally kept them for ourselves...hey, we are pregnant! ***

So here are a few of our all time fave home made edible gifts!

We have to admit...this first one was kinda sorta for us. Once we saw the recipe for Heath Nutella Sandwich Cookies we were insta obsessed! Heath Bars and Nutella? Um...what?!?!

Nutella Heath Bar Sandwich Cookies (adapted from Cookin’ Canuck)

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups granulated sugar, divided
14 tbsp (1 3/4 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup Heath bar English toffee bits (I bought several heath bars, placed them in a ziplock and took out any aggression I had, smashing it with a rolling pin)

1 cup plus 1 tbsp Nutella (chocolate-hazelnut spread)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, beat butter and 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar with an electric mixer set on medium speed until the mixture is creamy and fluffy, 3 to 5 minutes. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and the vanilla extract.

Turn the mixer to low speed and gradually beat in the flour mixture until it is just combined. Using a rubber spatula, stir the mixture a few times to make sure all of the flour mixture is incorporated. Mix in Heath bits.

Place 1/2 cup granulated sugar in a small bowl. With slightly dampened hands, roll a small amount of the cookie dough between your palms to form a ball (approx 2 tsp). Roll the ball in the sugar to coat it and place it on a prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough, spacing the balls about 2 inches apart from each other on the baking sheets. Lightly coat the bottom of a glass or metal measuring cup with butter and dip into the sugar. Use this to gently flatten the cookies to 3/4-inch thickness.

Bake the cookies, rotating from front to back halfway through baking. They are done when the edges are set and beginning to brown, 9 to 10 minutes. The centers of the cookies should still be soft and puffy. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes. Remove the cookies from the baking sheet and let cool on a rack.

Spread the bottom of one cookie with Nutella and sandwich with a second cookie. Serve as is or with a side of vanilla bean ice cream or topped with cool whip. Delicious!

Makes about 50 mini (or 24 large) sandwich cookies.

Yup...we never knew our palettes were soooo English :) and neither did the recipients who devoured these!

How f'n pretty are these peppermint chocolate cookies?!?!?!

They are like that ridiculously yummy white chocolate bark (OOOOH! You can make that too!!!!!) but with a minty cookie inside...and UBER easy to make...PROMISE!

Ingredients

Makes 6 dozen

1 cup all-purpose flour, plus more for surface
1/2 cup unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 ounces (5 tablespoons) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
3/4 teaspoon pure peppermint extract
8 large candy canes or 30 peppermint candies, crushed
2 pounds white chocolate, coarsely chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Beat butter and sugar with a mixer on medium-high speed for 1 minute. Reduce speed to medium-low, and add egg, then yolk, beating well after each addition. Beat in peppermint extract. Slowly add flour mixture, and beat until just incorporated. Shape dough into 2 disks, wrap each in plastic, and refrigerate until firm, at least 1 hour (or up to 2 days).
Roll out 1 disk of dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Freeze until firm, about 15 minutes. Using a 2-inch round cutter, cut out circles, and place 1 inch apart on parchment-lined baking sheets. Roll and cut scraps once. Freeze cookies until firm, about 15 minutes. Repeat with remaining disk.
Bake until cookies are dry to the touch, about 12 minutes. Transfer parchment, with cookies, to wire racks, and let cool. (Undecorated cookies will keep, covered, for up to 3 days.)
Sift crushed candy, and separate larger pieces from dust, reserving both. Melt chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of gently simmering water. Remove from heat. Dunk cookies into melted chocolate. Using a fork, turn to coat, let excess drip off, and gently scrape bottom against edge of bowl. Place on parchment-lined baking sheets, and sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of either candy pieces or dust on top. Repeat, sprinkling half the cookies with pieces and the rest with dust. Refrigerate until set, up to 3 hours.

These will turn you into a favorite gift giver in no time!

Oh...hi there dreamy partners...What's that you say?...You say that if we make these amazing Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups we will be the queens of edible gifts? Well, done and done cuz you had us at Peanut Butter n Chocolate!

Ingredients

For the peanut butter base:
1/4 cup soft dark brown sugar
2 cups confectioner's sugar
1/2 stick butter, softened
7 ounces smooth peanut butter
For dark chocolate:
7 ounces dark chocolate
3 1/2 ounces milk chocolate

Directions

Place all the ingredients for the base in the bowl of a food processor. Blend the mixture until the mixture takes on a sandy texture.
Place 48 gold petit four cases in sets of miniature tart tins or mini-muffin tins (each indent about 1 3/4-inches in diameter). Use 1 teaspoon of the base mixture to fill the bases of the petit four cases. Press the sandy mixture down into the cases as best you can to form a layer at the bottom of each paper case.
Place the milk chocolate and dark chocolate together into a heatproof bowl. Suspend the bowl over a pan of simmering water (the water should not touch the bottom of the bowl). Melt the chocolate gently while stirring. Spoon teaspoonfuls of the melted chocolate onto the top of each of the sandy bases of the petit four cases.
Let them set in the fridge, for about 30 minutes.
To package, use a small box and layer the peanut butter cups or using saran wrap cut into squares place 3 to 5 peanut butter cups in the center, gather the saran wrap in the center and tie with a bow. Create a cute label and affix it to the packages.

Makes 48 peanut butter cups.

Baby when it's sooo cold out side. Bundle up and stay inside and snuggle like you have never snuggled before. And when you are done snuggling?

I mean how can you ever really be done snuggling...but when you are done..here are a few ways to get busy (not like that...you just got done with a snugglefest remember?)

1. Learn to cook or bake!

Grab your fave cookbook or go onto All Recipes or Madame Martha's site and have at it!

There are local markets (even some of the big guys) who do home grocery delivery if you run out of ingredients when your cookin' up a storm

2. Organize it...don't criticize it...(Peter Tosh anyone?)

Take a tip from the pros and slap that disarray and mess into submission! Go into your most feared pantry or closet and get to work! (PS donate your tossed clothing or goods to a local shelter Goodwill)

We LOVE Organize.com for their amazing ideas and labels.

3. Learn to give your self a mani/pedi!

Not only is it uber recessionista chic, but you deserve a lil' pampering!

Here's a great tutorial on how to do the perf self manicure (sounds dirty!)

4. Take a tip from Bastian and read a good book...

Let it take you to a far away land and get lost in it. Bigger brain = sexier girl (or boy)

At Barnes and Noble they sell ebooks for your Iphone, Blackberry or Mac!!!

5. Go thru all of your magazines (Miss Me and I are super guilty for hoarding our faves)...
Get inspired by your magazines that are lying around. Read the articles...they are great...get inspired to redecorate your abode. Play dress up in your newly organized closet and try to put together great ensembles like the ones you see in Vogue!

Go here for super cheap subscriptions and stock up for the next storm.

6. Still hungry? Order takeout...
Delivery.com has tons of restaurants in the big cities around the USofA that will deliver to you. Just type in your address and see who pops up! Try something you have never tried before...

Who needs to go outside to have and adventure?

So what ever you decide to do on a glorious rainy day...have fun...be creative...and stay cozy ;)

Beauty-Fuls....Golden Arches: Get them right, get them tight...

You know how important it is to have a well groomed brow. We all do, but how do we get the well groomed brow with our going overboard with the tweezers?

We have all done it before... Gotten in the zone with the magnifying mirror and when we pulled back and blinked, oh my.... That eyebrow is way thinner then the other side! Woopsie!

That is why it is best to leave eyebrow shaping to the experts.

Particularly, when the eyebrows you were born with look like the love child of Martin Scorsese and Brooke Shields....

5 Steps to a Perfect Eyebrow Shape

Trim your eyebrows. This will make a big difference in helping you look younger. Once eyebrows reach a certain length they start losing pigments at the ends. I love using a mustache trimmer set I purchased at a department store. It comes with a little comb and perfect point scissors. Comb your eyebrows up, trim any excess that goes beyond the natural hair line. Comb your eyebrows down, and do the same. It may seem like a lot at first but trust me, you will love the outcome.
Take an eyeliner pencil and place it vertically against your nose. It should run from the side of the nose, mid-mouth, and by the tear duct of the eye. This is where your eyebrow should start; any hair that is visible beyond the pencil should be tweezed.
Next place the pencil diagonally where it should hit the middle of the mouth, nostril, and outside the iris of the eye. This is wear your arch is. Tweeze a gradually line from the arch to the start of the eyebrow. Remember, GRADUAL, nothing harsh.
To determine the end of the eyebrow, place the pencil diagonally across to the opposite corners of the mouth, nostril, and outside corner of the eye. Any hair that goes past should be tweezed.
Place your pencil horizontal from the start of the eyebrow to the end of the eyebrow. The pencil should create a perfect straight line.

Make note, while we are all for taming your natural brow line, we are not for over plucking away your brows into nothingness.

So, here is what you do, find the shape that is perfect for you and your face shape.

Working with your own natural brow shape follow the guidelines above to keep your brow from getting too short.

A well shaped brow can really make the difference between night and day for your looks.

Now we know all about the importance of shaping, lets talk shade... Because the color of your eyebrow is super important too!

RULES FOR EYEBROW COLOR

dark haired people should go one or two shades lighter than the color of hair on their head
light haired people to go two shades darker than the color of hair on their head

As demonstrated by the always classy (uh-hhem) Kim Kardashian,

If you lighten your locks, please don't forget to lighten your eyebrows!

You will end up looking just like Madonna in the Papa don't preach video.

Looks like Italians only do SOME things better.

Here are a few of our favorite brow shapes, these ladies are all working different looks... But they are all working and that is the key.

Super thick and slightly bushy, a lot of weaker women would have shrank from such a strong brow but not Jennifer Connelly. Beautiful dark brows make her stand out in the sea of starlettes.

Gwen Stefani mixed classic golden era movie star and high-school cholita together and came out with pure eyebrow magic.

Perfectly arched they play up the beauty of her dark, dark eyes.

Landing in the middle of these to options, is every boyfriends fantasy girl..

Natalie Portman.

Just thick enough with only the slightest arch, the shade of her soft brown eyes matches her brows.

Okay truth be told, it isn't just the boys who have a crush on The Black Swan....

We suggest you go and get your eye brow shaped at least a few times a year and maintain that shape yourself if you are looking to save some moolah and precious time.

Now for some things we heart tips...

If you do happen to over-pluck, and it happens to the best of us, use a pencil orpowder and brush to fill in the missing brow... Naturally!

Keep a mini brow kit in your car, for emergency moments.

Don't forget to trim and lighten or darken your brows depending on your hair color. If your brows are feeling heavy don't over pluck.. try to lighten your brows a touch. It can make a HUGE change.

Try your best to stick to the rules of eyebrow shaping above, and treat yourself as often as you can to a professional eyebrow shape.

Obsessed? Crazy? Bonkers? Totally in love with...never ever get sick of...dying to steal a certain someones....have to have a MARBLE BATHROOM!!!!!

Yes most people have just plain ol' bathrooms...carpet
(I did growing up...what gives? Who the F puts carpet in a bathroom...um it's called water people = MOLD)
linoleum, tile, wood, ceramic...but a small LUCKY ASS group of people get the gorgeous white marble splayed out in all it's crispy, gorgeous glory!!!!

Yes...I am SUPER grateful but every so often I find myself day dreaming for my dream marble master bath....one day :)

Soo after finding myself doing that one thing....lusting on a perfect day in a hotel bathroom in NYC a few months ago I started on this post to clear my head :) .

And home, around the holidays is our favorite place and time!

We love travel, and excitement and new experiences, but we really love home and tradition and getting cozy as we can.

Fashion Friday: Tis the season to be snuggly...we heart cashmere (yes again)

Tis the season to be snuggly...fa la la la laaaaaaa!

Soooo this morning when we woke up we squeeeeeezed our pregnant bellies (and pregnant legs) into an old pair of unbelievably soft, smooshy, cuddle worthy, scrumdidliumtuous cashmere jammie bottoms. And it was BLISSFUL!!!!!

(this looks more like miss me than me...but a girl can dream)

Remember last year how we went on and on (cutefully so of course) about our heartville size LUST for the yummy stuff....well we are at it again! Here are a few of our newest obsessions in CASHMERE!!!!!!

So Miss Me and I were browsing the racks the other day and came across this AMAZING ripped sweater from Elizabeth and James...we both grabbed it...then rubbed our budding bellies and realized... 'tiz silly to spend such moolah when it wont even fit us...

Global Aids day- We heart finding a cure

Did you guys now that today is Global Aids Day?

A day dedicated to bringing awareness to our worlds constant crisis with the HIV and AIDS.

As of today, 3 decades into the onset of the AIDS/HIV epidemic, 60 million people have contracted HIV and 25 million have died of AIDS-related causes.

(AIDS LIFE/CYCLE)

*more than 7,000 people contract HIV every day.

*Women account for nearly half of all adults living with HIV/AIDS worldwide, and 61% of those in sub-Saharan Africa.

*Africa has more than 12 million AIDS orphans.

* More than half of new infections are among those under 25 years of age.

These statistics are heart breaking, but it is so good to see them and be aware and face the facts that the world is bigger then our own problems.

Today is a great day to get out of yourself and help. What can we do?

Well, yesterday UNICEF released a report stating that "Halfway through a 10-year campaign to reverse the spread of AIDS, UNICEF and its partners are making significant progress in preventing mothers from passing the disease onto their children."

While this news is exciting and inspiring, so much more needs to be done.

We can all start with educating our selves on the facts about this epidemic.

Fashion Friday: Get Ready.....Get Set....SHOP!!!!!

Bring it on mother F'ers! Black Friday is here! Wooo hooo....it's Things We Heart favorite time of year ;)

Do your part...boost the economy and shop! The sales are amazing!!!

Or just go out enjoy your fellow shoppers and sit back and watch the madness...

Here are a few rules to follow....(taken from bf.com)

Surviving the Lines

Dress warmly, but in layers so you don’t get overly hot in the store.
Before the store opens arrive early and stand in line.
Arrive a few minutes late or wait in your car until the biggest part of the crowd is in the store. You may lose out on the big-ticket items, but you will not end up in the pushing throng.
Be careful in the opening rush to the doors. Refrain from pushing or shoving anyone down. If you can help those around you do the same. Everyone will get in the store eventually and it will happen much more quickly without a fighting mob out front.
Wait politely in line to check out. Do not hold places in line for other shoppers and avoid pushing up against the people in front of you.
Let people pass through the line when they are still shopping.

Inside the Store

Take only what you need. Many people grab up all of one item in the hopes to eBay it for more money. Remember that others are here trying to provide Christmas for their families and only take the number of the item you actually plan on giving to other people.
As you go through the store, watch where you are going. You can walk quickly through the store without actually bumping into anyone.
Refrain from criticizing other shopper’s rude behavior while you are shopping.

Maintain Your Dignity

Shouting matches and fights over the last item often break out in the store. Remember that you do not have to participate. You can simply walk away. Ask yourself if your dignity is worth the item you are fighting for.
Be polite. Let others around you in the aisles. Help someone who is looking for a toy.
Be careful to stop yourself from blocking the aisles.

General Tips

Talking to people in line can help the mood of everyone involved. Keep the conversation friendly without too much information.
Stick to your plan and do not allow your shopping to be derailed by other grumpy shoppers. The plan should help you to move efficiently through the store and may help you to avoid the long checkout lines.
If you do not get an item you wanted, let your disappointment go and move on. There should be several things on your list that are worth getting. Dwelling on what you didn’t get will only slow you down.
If you do not want a one of the big sale items, you can still save money but hit the stores later in the day. The crowds will not be as bad and you should still be able to get some great deals.

Yummies, Delightful Dishes, you can bring along!

So if you are lucky enough to have been invited to someones house for Thanksgiving this week, you should be very thankful indeed.

But don't think you got off the kitchen hook too easily, you should ALWAYS ask your host or hostess what you can bring to add to the feast.

Now, you can bring wine, or pies, or Martinelli's sparkling apple cider (a MUST for any thanksgiving meal) but a homemade dish can score you some real points with Aunt Judy.

Lucky for you (and us) we have found some delicious recipes for yummy side dishes that can cary well on your ride across town.

(For you super craft-masters out there... Here are directions for this nifty carrier)

First up, from the kitchen of Miss Me's mommy, homemade cranberry sauce!

Now, while some people swear up and down that they love the canned stuff... Really? Gross!

They must have never tasted the real deal.

Miss Me makes a big batch every year and hands it out in cute little jars to all her friends and neighbors... I know right, Martha Stewart watch out!

The best thing about homemade cranberry sauce is that it is super easy to make, but people are all really impressed.... Super easy to jar, and keeps really well, so you could make it today and it would still be delicious through till next weekend.. Perfect for leftovers!

Here is how you do it.

Follow the classic Ocean Spray recipe... Then here is a secret tip,

When your cranberry sauce is all done boiling and your kitchen smells like heaven, add in about one teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of cinnamon and stir well.

The salt cuts the sweetness and the cinnamon is just yummy.

Some people like to set their cranberry sauce into molds, and while that is super cool in a creepy neighbors from Edward Scissorhands way,

we prefer to serve it in a cute dish with a spoon.

Next up, and we know some of you may not get this one... But TRUST.

Brown Sugar-Glazed Sweet Potato,

(with mini baby marshmallows on top!)

Now, while this was not a dish that we grew up with it has become a welcome addition to the family feast.

(You can totally skip the nuts, ginger and nutmeg and it is still scrumptious)

Something about the super sweetness mixed with all the other savory flavors on your plate is like a little slice of heaven. Plus it carries really well, you can have it all ready and just pop it in the oven to brown the sweet baby marshmallows and you are done and done!

Another way to impress your friends is with a good old fashioned

Green Bean Casserole!

I know but really don't be afraid... This is not the runny canned green bean casserole that you still have nightmares about.

We are talking all organic and fresh ingredients.

Delicious green beans, chopped onion, yummy mushrooms, organic cheese all mixed up in creamy mushroom soup and topped off with crunchy sinful fried onions!

Yes please, the gain 5 pounds in one sitting line forms behind us!

This one is from kitchen goddess Paula Deen, so you know it isn't easy on the figure... She loves her some butter Y'all! And we adore her for it!

(psss. Sub out veggie broth for the chicken broth in the recipe for the love of all things feathered)

So there you have it, 3 sure fire ways to impress your friends and family while being a helpful and considerate guest.

Oh and here are a few more tips,

Always bring your dish fully prepared and ready to go, no one needs you adding another cook in the kitchen on a stressful cooking day.

If you need to heat it up for say 15 minutes to brown the top etc. that is totally fine, but let your hostess know that you will be needing to do that and to just let you know when the oven is free.

You should handle putting it in the oven and watching the clock on your dish so it isn't burned.

A really sweet thing to do, is to bring your side along in a baking dish that you are going to leave as a hostess gift.

This is LITERALLY Christmas come early for us...like 1 year and 1 month early to be exact. Mr Lanvin himself, Alber Elbaz designed a super amazing super close to the real deal capsule line for (another uber fave) H&M and it is here tomorrow!!!!!

Why you ask if it is out tomorrow is it Xmas early for us? Well because we are both pretty pregnant now and we prob won't fit into anything until Xmas of next year so the gorgeous duds that I, Miss TWH will be lining up for tomorrow am for us, will sleep snuggly and safely in our closets for the next year. It will be like fine wine...they will get even better with age :)

How long have we all spent looking for the perfect "signature scent"?

How hard is it to find one?!

When Miss Me was 13 years old, her older brother had a girlfriend who was suuuuper cool. She had a little secret to share with the young Miss Me,

She said, she wore a mens scent (Namely Eternity for men) Because then no other girl would ever smell like her.... Ahhhh, smart and beautiful Miss Milla!

She was on to something, if you are going to have a signature scent... It should be very singular, at least amongst your crowd.

For instance, two of the T-W-H girls near and dear girlfriends wear Floret, and while we find it delicious and are green with envy... It belongs to them.

Decor to Die for: Color Crave, Almost Blue...

The other day I had an moment of inspiration... A stroke of brilliance....

I just knew we needed to paint the master bedroom a deep, dark, beautiful blue!

Then I thought... Hmmmm, maybe I should sit on that for a few days.

And while I love and admire the balls or even better the CAJONES it takes to boldly paint a room this amazing color, I am afraid I may lack them.

A well done navy blue room can be so perfect it hurts, like this tiny kitchen in Ruthie Sommers Venice Beach bungalow... The turquoise doors? PLEASE!

The Matte walls and navy lacquer doors from the Elle Decor (?) feature...

Heaven.

Dark blue can be crisp and clean when mixed with white.

It can be festive and happy when mixed with bright pops of color....

If you do it wrong though... It is gonna be a hot, hot mess!

So I think I am gonna sit on this color crave a little bit longer, maybe in a literal sense.... I could quench my taste for blue with this STUUUPID Anthro Settee that I have been lusting over since summer...

Or for a lot less money, I could fill my house with these beautiful blue Capri Candles that smell as good as they look.

Or, I could put my money where my mouth is and support a budding artist!

Looking around on Etsy for navy blue I found this delicious photo!

I have a feeling it would look great in a master bedroom!

Yummies: You're such a pumpkin! We wanna eat you up!

Soooo it's been a year and a 2 weeks since our last pumpkin post! Geez Louise time flies...but our super hearty heartness for pumpkin yummies has not left us. We are still obsessed with all things pumpkin!

As a fatter of mact (pun totally intended!) we made a suuuuper yummy pumpkin bread tonight...slathered it with butter and whoopsie dilly...we made it disappear.

So us being the super loving, nuturing and generous souls that we are thought..."our loyal readers should enjoy all things pumpkin again!"

And away we go!

Why don't we begin with the special lil treat we made today for our belly and our boys belly...

Double Decker pumpkin bread! Breakfast, lunch or dinner..this bread is amazing!

Double Decker Pumpkin Bread

recipe from Lisa @ The Cutting Edge of Ordinary

4 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup sugar

1-8 ounce sour cream

1 egg

2 tablespoons finely chopped crystallized ginger

3 cups all purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ teaspoon salt

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

1 – 15 ounce can pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)

1 cup vegetable oil

1/3 cup water

Preheat the oven to 350. Grease the bottoms and ½ inch up the sides of two 9x5x3 loaf pans. In a medium bowl combine the cream cheese and ¼ cup sugar. Beat with an electric mixer on medium until combined. Add sour cream and 1 egg. Beat until combined. Stir in crystallized ginger, set aside.

In another medium bowl stir together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg and salt, set aside.

In a large bowl combine the 2 cups of sugar the eggs, pumpkin, oil and water. Beat on low speed until combined scraping the sides of bowl occasionally. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until combined.

Spoon 1 ½ cups of the pumpkin batter unto each of the prepared pans. Divide the cream cheese mixture between pans, spreading evenly. Spoon the remaining pumpkin batter onto the cream cheese mixture, spread evenly.

Bake for 60 to 70 minutes on until toothpick inserted tests clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

What's next? Well glad you asked! In honor of the amazing cupcakes we had this weekend...how about a Pumpkin Cupcake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting?

Yup...we had you at...well we had you at the whole friggin thing!

You know how they say a way to a man's heart is through his tummy? It is kinda true! I made these a-mazing Pumpkin Gnocchi for my man years ago and I think it's the perfect time to make them again.

Oh and these are waaaay easier and tastier than their OG Gnocchi cousin :)

What goes amazing with a full pumpkin meal? How about Pumpkin Whoopie Pies!!!

Yay! You know how much we love those!

Ingredients

Cookies:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature, lightly beaten
1 cup LIBBY'S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cream Cheese Filling:
4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions

For cookies: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease or line four baking sheets with parchment paper.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and salt in medium bowl. Beat butter and sugar in large mixer bowl on medium speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add pumpkin and vanilla extract; beat until smooth. Stir in flour mixture until combined. Drop by heaping measuring teaspoons onto prepared baking sheets. (A total of 72 cookies are needed for the recipe.)
Bake for 10 to 13 minutes or until springy to the touch. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
For cream cheese filling: Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla extract in small mixer bowl on medium speed until fluffy. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Spread a heaping teaspoon of filling onto flat side of one cookie; top with flat side of second cookie to make a sandwich. Repeat with remaining cookies and filling. Store in covered container in refrigerator.

And if you are lucky enough to be able to vote, we hope your candidate was the winner!

You are registered but didn't vote? Well then you deserve a SPANKING! It's sooooo easy now to make a difference...

We are sooo lucky to be able to get our voices heard and counted. You know all of those times we complain about our Government and Leaders?

Well thank the leaders before us, those who fought for our rights, we get to complain...then 2 - 4 years later we get to vote and make our complaints known!

OK...now a wee bit of an importante history lesson...

Sorry people...we know...who wants to sit through a lesson if we aren't in school...but this is sooo important!
